Chef/Owner Lev Gewirtzman was born and raised in New York City and has been cooking in its kitchens for 19 years. He lives in Crown Heights with his wife and 2 children. He previously worked as the Chef de Cuisine at Ouest, Stone Park Café, The West Branch and The Screening Room. General Manager/Owner Jacques Belanger has been working in the restaurant industry for 15 years most recently as the Executive Chef at MP Taverna and the critically acclaimed Bar Luna. He is a Toronto native and currently resides in Crown Heights. Chilo's, our sister restaurant is a taco truck and mezcal bar. It was opened in April of 2015 and has received various accolades since its opening.
